Built From: Unofficial build 2544 w/ multi-locale support (Built and Acquired Dec 07, 2009) Review More: Build info Download: crzyruski-DSTL1_Donut_Unofficial-v1.2.0.zip Q&A: v1.2 Q&A Requirements
Q: Why unofficial? A: Because General Mobile's releases only comes with the following locales:
A: Wrong. This build is just as stable as official build 2544, but it wasn't created from GM's release. Q: What else is different with this release? A: Widgets are back to normal in terms of centering (analog clock), but won't fit snugly into corners (calendar). In these terms its more like before the 2544 build. Q: What else is included in this release? A: Read below "New in 1.2.0" below... Q: What are the differences in all your released? A: Be my guest and check out the feature differences. Q: What if I am upgrading from 1.5 (Cupcake)? A: You will see a world of difference with 1.6, but don't forget to back up your data you MUST do a Factory Reset. Especially if you want the Google Apps PATCH. It works best if you do it all in the same Recovery Mode session, one right after the other (I have both .zip files in the update folder and it works great). You can still install the PATCH at any time. The PATCH is not perfect and will slow down your system a little bit... read more about the Google Apps PATCH. Upgrade using Donut Recovery (official is recommended). Q: What if I already have 1.6 (Donut)? A: You can upgrade/downgrade (as long as it is a Donut) without doing a Factory Reset, but I would back up just in case... If you previously had the Google Apps PATCH installed, you may want to apply it as soon as you are done upgrading to the new one. It works best if you do it all in the same Recovery Mode session, one right after the other (I have both .zip files in the update folder and it works great). Note: If you neglect to install the Google Apps PATCH, you will obviously not have Google Apps (duh)... where Google icons used to be will be replaced by a default, non-functional Google icon of an Android... you might as well delete the icons. You can still install the PATCH at any time. The PATCH is not perfect and will slow down your system a little bit... read more about the Google Apps PATCH. Upgrade using Donut Recovery (official is recommended). Q: I used your ROM or PATCH and my device is messed up, can I sue you? A: Sorry, I am not taking responsibility... stick with General Mobile's releases if you are worried. But you will notice, no one has complained yet. You will also notice you can get support on the DSTL1 forum. Instructions 1. Use the DSTL1 Donut Recovery to upgrade the zip to your system 2. Do a Factory Reset if necessary (this is not mandatory if you already had a 1.6 ROM, skip this step to retain all data and apps!) New in 1.2.0:
