flappjaxxx Proudly Presents FJ Java SDK Easy Installer v1.0
Download HereWhat is it you ask?
Recently I did a clean install of Linux Mint which uses the same repositories as Ubuntu for software resources.
I found out they no longer provide Java 6 SDK packages via their repositories.
Any developers etc. that compile anything from source such as CM9 or AOKP etc know that the latest version 6 of the Java SDK is needed.
I tried version 7 and ran into some bad luck.
I found some resources online that frankly were a pain in the butt to install properly.
Sooooo!
I wrote my own Java 6 SDK Easy Installer for Linux 32bit or 64bit Versions!
So what does it do?
It will download the latest Java SDK v6 32bit or 64bit and install it in your home directory nice and neat and safe.
It will also remove the Java SDK v6 if you decide you don't need it
Instructions:
1. Download the above zip file
2. Unzip to a familiar directory
3. Read the readme.txt included in the zip file
4. You are now on your own
Thanks AndroidSPIN guys for hosting the files. As soon as I find a stable resource I will do an update and host the files elsewhere.
