Adobe Flash player officially dead, here is how to get it and install it

Well, the time has finally come for Adobe to put Flash Player for Android 6 feet under. It has been technically dead for some time with Adobe stating they won't support anything after ICS nor update the app any longer. Now they have taken that one step further and are pulling the app from the Play Store permanently. While I can understand the reasoning, there are still to many reasons not to do it. Like the fact that Manufacturers are still producing devices with older Android versions and many devices don't have updates yet or will never have updates. So the problem is that now, what do those of you do that want or need flash support and can't have it easily. Easy answer... Side load it.

Below you will find a link to get the last version of Flash that Adobe released to the Play Store. Download it and install it like any other apk.

Be sure you have 'Unknown Sources' checked first, just to make life a bit easier. That is under Settings > Applications on Android 2.2 - 3.1... and Settings > Security on Android 4.0+.

You can then enable the Flash Player plug-in. Of course, this doesn't exist or work on Chrome browser. In the default Android browser on Android 3.0 and up, hit menu then Settings > Advanced > Enable Plug-Ins and choose the setting you want for Flash content. On Android 2.2 and 2.3, Menu > Settings or Menu > More > Settings and enable plug-ins.

Flash was never perfect, but it worked better than not having it at all.
