Does the Google Nexus 7 Support MHL Adapters for HDMI output?

I've done a lot of searching and it appears that the Google Nexus 7 does NOT have the required hardware to support MHL adapters to provide HDMI output to a TV.

I have not been able to confirm this 100% and would love to know if anyone has any official word on this subject.
