Default Will XBMC for Android Support 5.1 Channel Audio over HDMI

Does anybody know if XBMC for Android will Support 5.1 Channel Audio over HDMI?

I'm assuming that it's all hardware dependent and with the support they will hopefully form the Android Community, XBMC should become the dominant media platform on Android.

If yes we can explore the option to get ODROIDX or Raspberry board and try 5.1 over HDMI and make a true low power Media player, reading Raspberry or oDROID Boards FAQ idont think their codec have anything more then stereo output but things can change with another model

There is a lot of activity in the Other side of Android (not cell phones) that is going to make the next couple of years a very exciting time.
Google TV was a great idea and works OK, but something like XBMC really does create an experience for home media that Google TV currently lacks.
Plex is a great application that is getting better all the time, but still has it's issues.

The hardware will come and adapt and provide what we need as the software comes along that make the hardware manufacturers WANT to provide that little bit extra.

So YES, as the demand increases, the hardware will follow.
