    Default Mobile internet settings..?

The following is my problem: I'm using DSTL1 in United Kingdom and my GSM company is Lycamobile.co.uk
    The settings that i have to use;

    • APN: data.lycamobile.co.uk
    • Proxy: Leave Blank
    • Prot: Leave Blank
    • UserName: lmuk
    • Password: plus
    • Server: Leave Blank
    • MMSC: Leave Blank
    • MMS proxy: Leave Blank
    • MMS port: Leave Blank
    • MCC: Leave Blank
    • MNC: Leave Blank
    • APN Type: Leave Blank

MCC and MNC are must be left blank but there is MCC an MNC has been set as MCC (234) and MCN (26) in my phone.
When I tried to set up I couldn't.

My Rom is: OpenX2 v1.3 (Pulic Release)

What I've tried: I've tried to set up my phone to use mobile internet many times but when I tried to set up there was a problem with "MCC" and "MNC" in APN settings.

In Finland, I have set only Name,APN,MCC,MNC and APN type. It's Working well. Maybe try to set those MCC to 244 and MNC to 21.

There is also another thing to consider in settings... Be sure that you allow "Data in roaming".. Lycamobile is a MNVO and your phone "thinks" that is in other country
    Start A3000 2.2.1

    Sciphone n21
    ROM: DSTL1 r3663_donut_update(04/28/10) + GooglePatch_v1.2.3.6
    Firmware version: 1.6
    Hardware version: V5T5
    Kernel: 2.6.28-svn3663

    Default Mobile internet settings-Lycamobile

I dont believe that you would be required to leave them blank since you would need the MCC (country code) of 234 for any UK network. My understanding is that Lycamobile use either O2 or Orange in the UK to carry their calls. This would suggest that you would use MNC of 10 (O2) or 33 (Orange). I read on a forum (but cannot confirm) that Lycamobile numbers 074.. are on O2 and 075... are on Orange. On the other hand the lookup service shows MCC 234 MNC 26 to be correct for Lycamobile.

My DSTL1 always shows the carrier network on the screen for MVNO (virtual) networks (Asda/Virgin/Tesco etc), I wonder what yours shows for Lycamobile?

If the SIM is "roaming" as someone suggested, it may be a bit tricky.

Also if you install the APP "network info 11" the device tab should reveal the MCC+MNC in use.

My best guess is MCC 234 and MNC 10 or 33.......and remember to add a new APN rather than editing, for some reason you often cannot edit the one that seems to set itself up.

    Good Luck!

Thanks, networkinfo helped me. And I've used "ApnManager" to set-up my connection. It's working now..

There is no settings to record here but this is the way to set-up APN:
I've used "network info" and "Apn Manager". The app that named "network info" gave me my GSM info (country, MNC, MCC etc.)
And I've downloaded "APN Manager" from market and used to set-up APN. After that my internet ran.
You can look at the APN list, insert APN, swap APN. Also you can backup & restore with APN Manager.

FYI: MNC & MCC are usually auto-configured, in fact I cannot change them even if I want to.
