Default [GUIDE] Reset your Google Nexus One back to Stock

Resetting your Google Nexus One back to Stock Android

This guide should work on both the T-Mobile and AT&T versions of the Google Nexus One.

** We always recommend performing a Nandroid backup of your current system before performing the steps in this guide.

    This guide involves three step:
    1. Downgrade your device to FRG33
    2. Upgrade to FRG33D
    3. Apply the latest OTA (FRG83D)

    Step One
    1. Download the flashable version of FRG33 HERE.
    2. Make sure this file is called PASSIMG.zip otherwise make sure you rename it.
    3. Copy the PASSIMG.zip file to the root of your SD card.
    4. Power off your Nexus One
    5. Power on your Nexus One while holding down the volume down.
    6. Your phone will look for the PASSIMG.zip and then it will ask if you would like to install it
    7. Press the volume up key to choose to install the file.
    8. Your Nexus One will now install the update
    9. Once the installation is complete, you phone should reboot.
    End of Step One

    Step two
    1. Connect to your phone from your computer.
    2. Delete the PASSIMG.zip file from your SD card
    3. Download official signed update to FRG83 HERE.
    4. Rename the file to update.zip.
    5. Copy the update.zip file to the root of your SD card.
    6. Power off your Nexus One
    7. Power on your Nexus One while holding down the volume down.
    8. Select the recovery option using the volume keys and then press the power button to select it.
    9. Your phone will reboot and you'll see a warning triangle with the green robot.
    10. Hold the power button, and press the volume up button and you should see a menu with green text.
    11. Select the "Apply SD card: update.zip" option.
    12. Your phone will now install the FRG83 update.
    13. Your phone will reboot a couple of times during this process.
    14. Once the installation is finished, your phone should reboot back to the lockscreen.
    End of Step Two

    Step Three:
    1. At this point you should receive the latest OTA update to take your phone to FRG83D.
    2. If you don’t receive the update notification, don’t worry, we have the update for you and you can manually apply it.
    3. Download the update file HERE.
    12. Your phone will now install the FRG83D update.
    End of Step Three

    Your all done.

Updated the download links as they had been reversed.
If you previously downloaded the files, please check the guide again for Step 2 and 3.
