Can you post the build.prop for this device? Also, do you have any firmware updates for it or can you image the system so I can take a look at it? The bobomips match my Touchstone exactly. If this is indeed from Yuhua, I think you might just have a large version of the Touchstone on your hands. Where did you get it from? Are they available for sale?

BogoMIPS is variable depending on CPU state - so this is not a clear indicator.
How does the rest match up? I'm sure Yuhua reuses CPU components, so I would not be surprised.
I'm holding off on posting my full review of the Storm 1, but I'll let you know that:

    • I haven't been able to root it yet
    • ADB is not working
    • it lacks root access needed to backup the NAND
    • I have not found the way to access recovery
    • it is not for general sale yet (AFAIK)
      • dion branded device exists
      • i-Mobile branded renders have been observed
      • mine was acquired straight from the source
    • I have not been offered a ROM update (where is recovery anyway?)

The Touchstone is easily rootable and comes with busybox, su and superuser installed. The only thing lacking is the proper permissions for "su" which can be fixed by changing the "system-update-post-script" as you did for the DSTL1, although the command syntax is slightly different (bricked mine two times getting it correct but I had tools to recover it). In my roms I replaced the su and superuser with the newest versions from "noshufou." The ones preinstalled are old and funky and didn't work right, even with permissions fixed. The preinstalled busybox works fine, and seems to be used extensively by the system. If you extract the entire rom and rearchive it there are symbolic links to busybox that are destroyed, and the phone doesn't operate properly. I mod it by opening the roms in 7-Zip explorer and ripping out and putting back of components. If a file such as build.prop needs editing I do so by launching Notepad++ from within 7-Zip, making the changes and letting 7-Zip replace the changed version into the rom. By doing this the symbolic links are never extracted and stay intact.

ADB wasn't working at first but I figured out how to get it working (see below - I also have a thread about it on XDA). I know have it enabled in my modded roms. Recovery on the Touchstone is accessed by holding the menu key while turning the phone on, once the phone vibrates you can let go of both keys and the phone boots in to recovery mode. If rooted, programs such as "Boot Control" can also reboot into recovery mode.

Did you have to pay for the device or did they give it to you free? Is it an evaluation unit? Do you have to give it back or do you get to keep it?

What are the screen dimensions of this device? I-Mobile has already released a device called the I-Note which is an MID but it has no built-in GSM radio. Bluetooth dongle capability is enabled. I'm not sure who makes their MID for them. For what it is, I consider it vastly overpriced.

Accessing ADB on stock Touchstone. You have to use a terminal program (no root needed) and type the following command: "setprop persist.service.adb.enable 1" and then hit the enter key. Then you have to go in Applications and Debugging in the Settings. If debugging is already turned on, you have to turn it off and then turn it back on again. If it is off simply turn it on. Then you connect the device to the computer via a USB cable. The computer will now see it as an ADB device (listed as Android Phone) in the Windows Device Manager. In my modded roms I add a line to the build.prop so only the turning off and on of debugging is needed to get ADB access ("persist.service.adb.enable=1").

Also, I noticed for flashing at the hardware level you have a strange three plugged USB cable for the DSTL1. The Touchstone can be flashed at the hardware level with just an ordinary USB cable with the Tavor65 tools from Yuhua.
