ROM capture and upgrade path with new BH II

After 2 very long hours on the phone with TMO trying to get a different phone, they have sent me a brand new BHII instead. I'm giving this new phone a fair try after my last BHII experienced much of the same problems I've read about here and on other forums. I'm still a little sore we'll never be getting the 2.x update, but I can live with 1.6 for awhile. With that in mind, I just have a few questions....

1. Any way to capture my current factory 1.5 ROM?

2. After capturing the ROM, what's the best upgrade path to get to Take5? Reading over BH_MAN's releases, I see a few different upgrade steps with the different releases.

With my last BHII, I was flashing and updating with the releases, but since this is a new BHII @ factory 1.5, I would like to take the shortest path to take5.

As for the original 1.5, there's a link to the Factory 1.5 ROM on the Androidforum's Behold 2 "All Things Root" sub forum. Pretty sure it includes the latest official update (the one with Where's Waldo and all)
