Default [PATCH] Calendar - Multiple Calendar Sync <Workaround>

    Bug:
Calendar only allows for synchronization of 'default' calendar even if your Google account has multiple calendars.

    Confirmed By:
    Many

    Workaround:

    Thanks antoniojesus!

    Status:
Needs to be reported and acknowledged by GM. Please report if this affects you! (Since synchronization is a function of an unofficial patch, GM will be hard pressed to make it a valid fixing point. Best to omit the unofficial patch part in your testimony...)

As it stands, OpenX2 1.4 + Google Patch v1.3 will have this issue

    Hello,
Why close the antoniojesus topic ?
We could work on changing the calendar.db and replace it simply, without needing a patch? (I do not know if it's simple to do)
Moreover, KillDashNin9 seems to have managed to edit this file and run it.
Maybe ask him how could he do that?

The issue is known and has been resolved with a workaround. This further discussion should continue here. The workaround is rather technical but I think it has been explained as simple as its going to get.

Doing it for yourself (editing the .db) is not the issue, making it part of a ROM or PATCH is different. It would require a script... something that I am trying to avoid as I think there is better solution, i just haven't gotten around to it - but its only a matter of time.

Your device generates the .db on its own, its not something I can just include in a ROM/PATCH. Each user would have to edit it to their specific calendars and google user name.

The title says [PATCH] because this is an issue of the Google Patch. As opposed to [ROM] which indicates default capability (ROM doesn't have sync capability default)... Read more

    Hi:

I can't find the directory /data/data/com.android.providers.calendar/databases/ in my device because /data is empty. Is it related to some "root" permissions? Any idea?

    Thanks in advance!

Yes, you must have root to contents of /data

I have not set a deadline for 1.4 yet. What do you need a tutorial for?

A tutorial to start fresh. I have the phone recently and had never used Android. I have the original ROM 1.6 and I have already prepared the microsd with Ubuntu for future ROM.
