The battery life is incredibly bad when you have a large, bright AMOLED screen such as the one on my new Samsung Galaxy S2.
One way to improve battery life, and I mean quiet a lot, is to use a pure black wallpaper.
When the pixels are pure black, the AMOLED screen does not have to turn on the pixels and considerably increases your battery life.
