Anyone in here using a Vodafone 845 as well?
It's a nice little phone, if you have not heard of it, take a look at the Vodafone website:
http://shop.vodafone.co.uk/shop/mobile-phone/vodafone-845
Here in germany it's €129,90 (currently about $168) without net/sim lock.
Except a few pre-installed vodafone apps and the startup logo there's no ristrictions what so ever.
The specs are not as good as the Kyocera Zio M6000, but as it will not be available here and the euro is so weak, I decided not to import as the 845 is allready available here.
The Vodafone 845 it a rather minimalistic (500 MHz, QVGA, low memory) phone running Android 2.1, but it still runs rather well if you install an alternative keyboard (graffiti, Mobilewrite, SlideType etc.).
The battery lasts rather long (email and occasional web browsing, 2g only ~70hrs) unless gps is activated.
Any chance there will be a way to root it?
I hope Huawei/Vodafone will provide an update to 2.2 to allow installing applications on microSD, as the internal memory is rather limited. Though as a low cost device, they might not invest in further updates?
