Hello everybody,
here is the wishlist for my DSTL1 and I ask if
any of you might help me in understanding if
it's ever possible to get and let work:
1) skype (even just a smartphone <-> pc version)
2) any decent handwriting-support app
3) any decent productivity suite with a text editor and a spreadsheet
Many thanks in advance for any replying to this post.

Many thanks for the proper suggestions!
These last days I've been searching for such apps
and in fact I answered myself too about point #1
with Frings (though still haven't used it, for my
contacts having not been on-line on Skype).
The other apps, I didn't know them yet, so I will
for sure give a look the next days to be able
to present also my opinion.
Most important, as days are passing, I am being
always more enthusiast for having picked up DSTL1
as my brand new device!

Thanks for the new suggestion,
by now I'm keeping using Fring
but it's always useful to know
what about dealing with other
applications so to evalue and
compare!

Could it be possible that the Beatiful Widgets(http://www.androidtapp.com/beautiful-widgets/) work on N21/DSTL1??

@Toy-Toni
Is the truphone-v3.0 app working properly on your phone?
I get a warning right at the beginning that the handset is not supported yet. When I continue with "install anyways" the browser for the registration process opens correctly. I`m able to enter my details and a pin but when it comes to the test call I'll get an error message saying that they aren't able to call me and I should check the reception. Both of the sims have full reception and I'm connected to the wlan.
Running the phone with crzyruski - DSTL1 Donut Unofficial v1.2.0 + Google Patch (unofficial).
Anyone else facing these problems?

Is there any handwriting app to android?
I have tested MobileWrite but it was buggy and force closed.
I have read about MyScript, Diopen, but cant` find them anywhere.

By now I gave up too about an handwriting app.
What I have found looked like crappy, bugged or just kind of uncomfortable.
Let's see if some user tried a good app and will post a review about that...

what do people think about a app to be added to the essential apps package
http://www.androlib.com/android.applica ... -qpxm.aspx (http://www.androlib.com/android.application.com-happydroid-c2s-qpxm.aspx)
a contact to sim card tool. Lets you copy your contacts to sim card so card can be removed and used in another phone etc
For some reason this phone can't do it as default but most phones in the world can.

I do not think we need it.
We can edit sim card contacts in "Import SIM* contacts" list.
Menu can add a new contatct to SIM card;
Long press at the existed contact item will popup a "Edit/Delete" options.
Enjoy it:)

I would agree with whitt that this would be useful. I have 190 contacts on my business SIM and 98 on my private one. The built in utility imports them one at a time which is VERY long winded. This utility does them all in one go (import or export), thus saving much time and effort. The phone then syncs so they all end up end up on the gmail account-very useful.
The one downside that I can see is that it only does SIM 1.
As whitt says, just about every other phone in the world can do this.
